Kaeppel Consulting is in immediate need of a Benefits Analyst to support of one of our preferred clients. This is a full-time contract position for an expected 1-year duration. The Benefits Analyst provides administrative and operational support to the HR department.
Key Responsibilities
Under minimal supervision, administers Employee leaves of absence (LOA) in accordance with company policy, federal and state regulations, and third-party provider processes. Serves as a key contact for Employees navigating various types of leaves, including Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), parental leave and other local, state and federal regulations. Ensures accurate documentation, timely communication, and efficient coordination with Employees, Leaders, Human Resources, Legal and third party administrators.
Manages end-to-end leave administration processes, including intake, documentation, eligibility determination, case tracking, and return-to-work coordination while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
Provides timely and accurate information to Employees and Leaders regarding leave eligibility, required documentation, timelines, and job protection provisions.
Coordinates with third-party administrators to monitor claim status and resolve discrepancies.
Maintains accurate leave records in HR systems and files, ensuring data integrity and compliance with confidentiality standards.
Communicates regularly with Employees on LOA to provide updates, request additional documentation, and implement return-to-work planning.

Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 1–2 years of administrative or HR experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of HR principles and employment laws
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with HRIS systems is a plus
