About the Role: Kaeppel Consulting is seeking an experienced and highly adaptable Project/Program Manager to join our team on a contract basis. Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget, while managing shifting priorities and unforeseen challenges.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, effectively managing expectations, communication, and potential conflicts in a politically charged environment.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that potential obstacles are addressed proactively.
  • Change Management: Navigate and implement changes with minimal disruption, ensuring that all team members and stakeholders are aligned and informed.
  • Decision-Making: Demonstrate strong decision-making skills, even in high-pressure situations, and provide clear direction to the team.
  • Communication: Ensure timely and effective communication across all levels of the organization, tailoring messages to the needs of different audiences.
  • Calm Under Pressure: Maintain a calm and positive demeanor in the face of adversity, providing stability and reassurance to the team and stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • General Ledger, Tax, Regulatory, Accounting, Financial Planning, Budgeting and Financial Analysis is required.
  • Experience working with Transformation Finance programs is required
  • Proven experience as a Project/Program Manager, preferably in a remote or distributed team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex political environments and manage challenging stakeholder dynamics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a track record of successfully managing chaotic or ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum).
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Insurance is a plus.
  • Bachelors degree in Finance or related field.
  • PMP is required
  • Experience with change management or organizational transformation projects.
