About the Role: Kaeppel Consulting is seeking a skilled Business Analyst / Systems Business Analyst with a strong focus on finance systems to join our team. The ideal candidate is a technically proficient BA who excels in translating complex technical information into clear, business-friendly language. You will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that financial systems meet business needs and drive value. Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for finance systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Technical Liaison: Act as the primary liaison between business users and the technical team, translating business requirements into technical specifications, and ensuring that technical solutions meet business needs.
• Finance Systems Expertise: Utilize your deep understanding of finance systems to guide discussions, provide insights, and ensure that the technical aspects align with financial goals and regulatory requirements.
• Process Mapping and Analysis: Analyze and document current business processes, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and recommend improvements or enhancements to finance systems.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate complex technical concepts and system functionalities in clear, non-technical language to business stakeholders, ensuring they understand the implications and benefits of technical solutions.
• Testing and Validation: Assist in the development of test plans, conduct system testing, and validate that the technical solutions meet the business requirements and standards.
• Change Management: Support the business in managing changes to finance systems, including impact analysis, training, and ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, process flows, use cases, and user guides, ensuring that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of the system functionalities.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure successful delivery of finance system projects, on time and within budget.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Business Analyst, with a focus on finance systems.
• Strong understanding of finance processes, systems, and terminology, with the ability to translate technical information into business language.
• Experience working with financial software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle Financials, Workday, NetSuite).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide solutions that align with business goals.
• Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with business analysis tools and methodologies, such as UML, BPMN, or Agile.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors in finance or related field.
• Experience in the finance or banking industry.
• Relevant certifications, such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PMI-PBA, or similar.
• Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
