Role Overview

Kaeppel Consulting is seeking a highly skilled SAP S/4HANA Technical Architect specializing in Security Architecture to provide strategic guidance and technical expertise during the RFP phase. This engagement is a paid opportunity with the potential to evolve into a long-term project role contingent upon contract award.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement SAP S/4HANA security architecture, including role-based access controls, authorization concepts, and compliance standards.

• Provide technical leadership on system integration, identity management, and overall SAP landscape security.

• Collaborate with project managers, business stakeholders, and other architects to align security solutions with enterprise objectives.

• Conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies.

• Support the creation of security documentation for the RFP response and ensure compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

• Deliver ongoing support and oversight of security controls during implementation if the contract is awarded.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a SAP S/4HANA Technical Architect, with specialization in Security.

• Strong expertise in SAP authorization concepts, GRC, Identity Management, and compliance frameworks.

• Proven ability to design and implement secure, scalable system architectures.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in enterprise or government environments.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP Security or GRC certifications.

• Experience supporting federal, higher-education, or public sector implementations.

• Knowledge of security standards such as NIST, SOX, GDPR, or FedRAMP.
